Are Mac servers physical or virtual machines?
Meshmac is committed to providing100% exclusive original Apple physical hardware. Each unit is an independent Mac Mini M4 physical machine, with no virtualization layer and no resource contention.
You will get full access to the M4 chip's CPU/GPU computing power, including a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine, without any performance loss caused by virtualization. It is ideal for compute-intensive scenarios such as Xcode compilation, Metal graphics acceleration, CI/CD builds, and AI model inference.
How do I connect to my macOS instance?
We natively supportSSH key authenticationandEncrypted VNC (including browser-based noVNC). After the instance is created, connection information (IP, port, username, and SSH public key configuration instructions) will be sent to your registered email.
We recommend using the system's built-in 'Screen Sharing' app on a local Mac. Enter the provided VNC address to get a near-native graphical interface experience. For command-line operations, use Terminal to connect via SSH. All transmissions are encrypted for security.
Which regions and nodes are supported?
Currently providingHong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Korea, and US Westavailability zones. The Hong Kong node supports CN2 GIA direct connection, providing excellent latency and stability for access from mainland China; other Asian nodes are suitable for Southeast and East Asian users; US West is ideal for North American and global teams.
All nodes are deployed in Tier III or higher data centers, ensuring power and network redundancy. Specific availability zones and inventory are subject to real-time display on the console, and you can choose as needed when creating an instance.
How does billing and renewal work?
Flexible billing based onDay / Week / Month / Quarter, pay only for what you use. Daily billing is suitable for short-term testing, while monthly and quarterly billing offer better unit prices. Billing starts when the instance is ready and ends when you actively destroy it or it expires.
Renewal can be done with one click in 'My Instances' on the management console, supporting common payment methods. We will remind you via email and site messages before expiration; we recommend renewing in advance to avoid service interruption. If the balance is insufficient, the instance will be paused according to the policy, and data will be retained for a certain period for you to recover after renewal.
Data security after expiration?
When the service expires and is not renewed, the instance enters a retention period; after the retention period, the system will execute aDoD 5220.22-M standardphysical data erasure process. All sectors of the physical hard disk will be overwritten multiple times to ensure that the original data cannot be recovered, meeting enterprise requirements for commercial secrets and compliance.
We recommend that you back up important data to your local machine or other storage before expiration. We do not keep any copies of data within your instance.
How to get support when encountering problems?
After logging into the management console, you can submit questions viaTechnical Ticket. Describe the phenomenon and instance information, and our engineers will respond preferentially and follow up in the ticket.
You can also check the Help Center and FAQs on this site for self-troubleshooting. For API integration, please contact support. Common issues like connection failure and billing questions have corresponding instructions. For bulk purchase or enterprise customization, please contact business through the official website.
What configuration specifications are available?
Currently, we mainly provide two solutions based on theApple M4:Standard (16GB RAM / 256GB SSD)andPro (24GB RAM / 512GB SSD). Both feature a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, with differences in RAM and storage capacity, suitable for Xcode projects of different scales and concurrent build requirements.
Specific specifications and prices are subject to the 'Pricing' page. If you need more RAM or storage, please contact customer service for customization and subsequent expansion plans.
How is the network and bandwidth?
Instances are provided by default with aPublic IPand sufficient outbound bandwidth to meet daily needs such as SSH, VNC, app downloads, dependency pulling, and build uploading. Inbound traffic is generally not billed separately, while outbound traffic is billed based on usage or monthly strategy depending on the package.
Nodes like Hong Kong have optimized links for access from mainland China, resulting in lower latency for SSH and graphical sessions. If you have needs for internal network connection, private lines, or higher bandwidth, please communicate via tickets or business channels.
Can instances be restarted or reinstalled at any time?
Yes.RebootOne-click operations (Power On, Reboot, Power Off) are available in 'My Instances' on the management console. The instance will shut down and start up normally, usually recovering within one or two minutes at no extra cost.
If you need aSystem Reinstall (e.g., restoring to a clean macOS, upgrading major versions, or fixing system issues), please submit a technical ticket for engineer assistance; please back up important data yourself before reinstalling.
Are APIs and automation provided?
We supportAPIAPI access to complete orders, query instance status, and perform some O&M operations, facilitating integration with your existing CI/CD or management workflows.
Typical use cases include: querying order and instance status, connecting Mac build machines in pipelines, etc. Specific capabilities and interface descriptions can be obtained through technical tickets or business channels. API authentication uses keys; please keep them safe.
Still need expert assistance?
Submit a technical ticket, and we will process it for you as soon as possible.
